Senators introduce bill that would allow US to disconnect the Internet

I  was reading an article on The Raw Story tonight. The more I read, the more enraged I became.

"Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), along with one Republican and Democratic senator, introduced a bill late last week that would allow the President to effectively disconnect the internet by emergency decree.
The Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act would allow the President to disconnect Internet networks and force private websites to comply with broad cybersecurity measures.Future US presidents would have their Internet "kill switch" powers renewed indefinitely."

You must read the rest of the article at The Raw Story.

New Unvarnished Site Allows Annoymous Rating and Review of Co-workers

Have you ever wished that you could anonymously spill the beans about a lazy, inept, rude, etc.. co-worker?

A new website, Unvarnished, is betting on people that answer yes to that question. Unvarnished came out of private beta testing last week. It is currently by invitation only, but the founders are planning to open it to the public soon.

See how it works HERE

While I think it would be great to be able to call out co-workers for unethical, rude, lazy, etc.. work, the way the site is set up leaves the door wide open for people to abuse the system. It's like those nasty gas station bathroom walls; anyone can write anything about you....true or not. The only difference is that the Unvarnished bathroom wall can not be erased and is viral for the world to see.
